As we all know (well, at least for the WLAN geeks), The 2.4GHz band offers 11 different channels, 1-11, with only three of them (1, 6 & 11) do not overlap and can be used, and carefully reused, without interference. 5 GHz offers more channels than the 2.4GHz, about 13 non-overlapping channels, but signal coverage is a compromise resulting in an increase required number of Access Points (AP) at deployment. Due to these restrictions some site survey as with WLAN VoIP, a precise site survey is a must. Thus, channel and channel reuse should be immensely considered and engineered to proper the extent of the WVoIP signal requirement. Not to mention the headaches, backaches, feetaches and sometimes tootaches as some of the side results of site surveying. May SSS ka ba? hehehe... heartaches?... well, that's a whole lota different blog... heheehe.
During the survey, we encountered a lot of dead end spots, meaning all three non-overlapping channels are already used at one point in the area and that channel reuse isn't possible. This gave us big headache and slows the site survey as we have to re-channel everything, or worst, re-site survey some points. Whew! What we did was, apply the repeater mode to extend the coverage of a single channel to avoid clashing with its co-channel. Well, it made sense for awhile, until I remembered that we are going to implement thin APs! ding! ding! ding! dinggggg! wrong again! after a confirmation with Cisco that thin APs do not!, and I repeat, do not support repeater mode on thin APs.... we were again left to our own thinking devices. Since an intelligent Cisco WLAN Controller is going to be implemented, its AUTO RF feature can be used to avoid and overcome dead end spots. Holy Mackanoly! then why are we going through all this double, triple and quadriple trouble. Unfortunately, we have to make sure the WLAN VoIP meet the requirement for signal coverage... Ok, fine...
So, as I was doing this taking-forever, pain-staking, channel-reuse-sensitive task, I started looking for ways to make it easier for the whole process to finish. Google directed my clicks to Extricom, the author of Interference-Free Architecture. And right after reading comprehension.... my head went ballistic from left to right. Holy Mackanoly! This is it! This is really is it! A solution intended for our dilemma and enigma... hehe... I can imagine one whole floor in one channel and no worries about precise site survey, channel reuse and co-channel interference. Just add a thin AP and a surefire hit Plug and Play.
But this techno remains to be tested and verified. And if it works as it says it is, I hope Cisco acquires this, as well. Just like it did with Aironet and Airespace. Hey! Mr. John Chambers!!! If you happen to crawl into my blog, here's something for you to BLOG YOUR MIND! Hehehe.. AS IF.....

MORE ON WATER WONDERS
HEALTH BENEFITS OF WATER
How 8 Glasses A Day Keeps Fat Away
Incredible as it may seem, water is quite possibly the single most important catalyst in losing weight and keeping it off. Although most of us take for granted, water may be the only true "magic potion" for permanent weight loss.
Water supresses the appetite naturally and helps the body metabolize stored fat. Studies have shown that a decrease in water intake will cause fat deposits to increase, while an increase in water intake can actually reduce fat deposits. (Supply and Demand principle, hmmm... interesting, ain't it?)
Here's why: The kidneys can't function properly without enough water. When they don't work to capacity, some of their load is dumped onto the liver. One of the liver's primary functions is to metabolize stored fat into usable energy for the body. But if the liver has to do some of the kidney's work it can't operate at full throttle. As a result, it metabolizes less fat more fat remains stored in the body and weight loss stops.
Drinking enough water is the best treatment for fluid retention. When the body gets less water, it perceives this as a threat to survival and begins to hold on to every drop. Water is stored in extracellular spaces (outside the cell). This shows up as swollen feet, legs and hands.
Diuretics offer a temporary solution at best. They force outstored water along with some essential nutrients. Again, the body perceives a treat and will replace the lost water at the first opportunity. Thus, the condition quickly returns.
The best way to overcome the problem of water retention is to give your body what it needs -- plenty of water. Only then will stored water be released.
If you have a constant problem with water retention, excess salt may be to blame. Your body will tolerate sodium only in acertain concentration. The more salt you eat the more water your system retains to dilute it. (Tigilan na kasi chippy, nagaraya, dingdong at boy bawang!)
But getting rid of unneeded salt is easy -- just drink more water. As it's forced through the kidneys it takes away excess sodium.
The overweight person needs more water than a thin one. Larger people have larger metabolic loads. Since we know that water is the key to fat metabolism, it follows that the over weight person needs more water.
Water helps to maintain proper muscle tone by giving muscles their natural ability to contract and by preventing dehydration. It also helps to prevent the sagging skin that usually follows weight loss -- shrinking cells are buoyed by water which plumps the skin and leaves it clear, healthy and resilient.
Water helps rid the body of waste. During weight loss, the body has a lot more waste to get rid of -- all that metabolized fat must be shed. Again, adequate water helps flush out the waste.
Water can help relieve constipation. When the body gets too little water, it siphons what it needs from internal sources. The colon is one primary source. Result? Constipation. But when a person drinks enough water, normal bowel function usually returns.
So far, we've discovered some remarkable truths about water and weight loss:
* The body will not function properly without enough water and can't metabolize stored fat efficiently.
* Retained water shows up as excess weight.
* To get rid of excess water you must drink more water.
* Drinking water is essential to weight loss.
How much water is enough? On the average, a person should drink 8-ounce glasses every day. That's about 2 quarts. However, the overweight person needs one additional glass for every 25 pounds of excess weight. The amount you drink also should be increased if you exercise briskly or if the weather is hot and dry.
Water should preferably be cold. It's absorbed into the system more quickly than warm water. And some evidence suggests that drinking cold water can actually help burn calories. Toutilize water most efficiently during weight loss, follow this schedule:
Morning: 1 quart consumed over a 30-minute period.
Noon: 1 quart consumed over a 30-minute period.
Evening: 1 quart consumed between five and six o'clock.
When the body gets the water it needs to function optimally,it's fluids are perfectly balanced. When this happens, you have reached the "breakthrough point." What does this mean?
* Endocrine-gland function improves.
* Fluid retention is alleviated as stored water is lost.
* More fat is used as fuel because the liver is free to metabolize stored fat.
* Natural thirst returns.
* There is a loss of hunger almost over night.
If you stop drinking enough water, your body fluids will be thrown out of balance again, and you may experience fluid retention, unexplained weight gain and loss of thirst. To remedy the situation you'll have to go back and force another "breakthrough."

THE BENEFITS OF WATER
Almost everyone knows that you should drink eight glasses of water a day. But is it really necessary?
"Absolutely," says Cleveland Clinic nutritionist Andrea Dunn. "Almost every cell in your body needs water to function properly. Many of the patients I see don’t drink enough water. They aren’t dehydrated, but they aren’t drinking as much water as they should -- especially considering how much your body needs."
The human body, which is made up of between 55 and 75 percent water (lean people have more water in their bodies because muscle holds more water than fat), is in need of constant water replenishment.
Consider this: Your lungs expel between two and four cups of water each day through normal breathing - even more on a cold day. If your feet sweat, there goes another cup of water. If you make half a dozen trips to the bathroom during the day, that's six cups of water. If you perspire, you expel about two cups of water (which doesn’t include exercise-induced perspiration).
Ms. Dunn points out that a person would have to lose 10 percent of her body weight in fluids to be considered dehydrated, but as little as two percent can affect athletic performance, cause tiredness and dull critical thinking abilities. Adequate water consumption can help lessen the chance of kidney stones, keep joints lubricated, prevent and lessen the severity of colds and flu and help prevent constipation.
"I encourage patients to drink eight to 10 cups of water each day. Those who do report that they generally feel better," notes Ms. Dunn.
How do you know if you are drinking enough water? "A good test is to look at your urine," points out Ms. Dunn. "If it’s clear or pale yellow, you’re doing a good job of staying hydrated. But if it’s intense yellow or gold, you probably need to drink more water."
But not everyone likes water. Many people prefer soft drinks, fruit juices, sports drinks, coffee and other drinks. All these drinks can help quench your body’s thirst for fluids, but they typically contain 100 calories or more per serving.
"The best alternatives to water are diluted fruit juices, non-fat or skim milk and diet soft drinks," explains Ms. Dunn. "But these drinks shouldn’t supplant water. Take note of how much sugar is in these alternatives. Sugar slows down the rate at which fluid is absorbed into the body. If you have trouble drinking water because you don’t like the taste, try adding a twist of lemon or lime or a splash of fruit juice. And cold water tastes better."
Ms. Dunn notes that while bottled waters are very popular, tap water works just as well and is more economical. It's also safe. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulates tap water and requires that it be analyzed for chemicals and bacteria. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which regulates bottled water, doesn't require that it be analyzed for these substances.
In addition to water and other drinks, many foods are also good sources of water. Juicy fruits like oranges, grapefruit, grapes, watermelon and apples can help keep you healthy and hydrated. Carrots, tomatoes, tuna, yogurt, cottage cheese, soups, rice and pasta also contain plenty of water.
"The key is to think and drink small amounts," suggests Dunn. "The easiest way to stay hydrated is to drink a half-a-cup of water (four ounces) each hour you’re awake. When you get in the car, take along something to drink. When you sit down to watch TV, have something to drink. When you go to a meeting, take along something to drink."

THE FUTURE OF WIRELESS ISN'T RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW!
yep! yep! yep! after 802.11 a, b, & g had reigned (and still is) in the wlan tech, wireless geeks are trying to work out 802.11n, which promises quite an improvement over its future predecessors. reports have it that experts are already achieving far greater results than expected. expo speaker even mentioned that a whooping 700Mbps is even possible as this new I-triple-E standard's maximum speed. holy mackanoly! Can't wait to get hold of Cisco -n compliants... hehehe...

October 5
Today my life began. My parents do not know it yet, I am as small as a seed of an apple, but it is I already. And I am to be a girl. I shall have blond hair and blue eyes. Just about everything is settled though, even the fact that I shall love flowers.
October 19
Some say that I am not a real person yet, that only my mother exists. But I am a real person, just as a small crumb of bread is yet truly bread. My mother is. And I am.
October 23
My mouth is just beginning to open now. Just think, in a year or so I shall be laughing and later talking. I know what my first word will be: MAMA.
October 25
My heart began to beat today all by itself. From now on it shall gently beat for the rest of my life without ever stopping to rest! And after many years it will tire. It will stop, and then I shall die.
November 2
I am growing a bit every day. My arms and legs are beginning to take shape. But I have to wait a long time yet before those little legs will raise me to my mother’s arms, before these little arms will be able to gather flowers and embrace my father.
November 12
Tiny fingers are beginning to form on my hands. Funny how small they are! I’ll be able to stroke my mother’s hair with them.
November 20
It wasn’t until today that the doctor told mom that I am living here under her heart. Oh, how happy she must be! Are you happy, mom?
November 25
My mom and dad are probably thinking about a name for me. But they don’t even know that I am a little girl. I want to be called Kathy. I am getting so big already.
December 10
My hair is growing. It is smooth and bright and shiny. I wonder what kind of hair mom has.
December 13
I am just about able to see. It is dark around me. When mom brings me into the world it will be full of sunshine and flowers. But what I want more than anything is to see my mom. How do you look, mom?
December 24
I wonder if mom hears the whispering of my heart? Some children come into the world a little sick. But my heart is strong and healthy. It beats so evenly: tup-tup,tup-tup. You’ll have a healthy little daughter, mom!
December 28
Today my mother killed me.

Magandang kwento . . . totoo at tumatalab . .
This is one of the no non-sense fwd messages i received... worth sharing ba ga...
COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS AND GIVE DUE THANKS TO THE ALMIGHTY!
